very complex rum, with an extremely strong fruity note up front, leading into some pot still heaviness, ending with a ton of vanilla. Great rum.

Ve vůni bych hádal něco mezi Abuelo a Plantation levnějších variant, ale je rozhodně sladší, ale né příliš. Popisovanou nakouřenost spíše vnímám jako příjemnou nakyslost. 8b za to vybalancování chutí.

Solid rum. A little coffee flavor with oak highlights. A bit of an after burn, but not too strong. 6.5 for me.

Nice sweat very heavy on the oak. Deu to smokeynes harshy on the throught. Nice rum but not excellent.

Great dark natural body with the usual rum flavors but also a noticeable dried pineapple taste in the finish. Loved it.

Nez très faible, sucré
Pas agressif en alcool, notes de café et de cuir adouci par une note sucrée équilibrée.
Pas mauvais, mais rien de révolutionnaire.

Not to bad for a rum with a screw on cap. I would call this a manly rum, no false flavors or hint of manipulation.

Good Old Chairman

The older brother of Chairman's Reserve Finest, nose is real beauty, sweet fruity tones, mixed with charred barrel, toffee and a waft of elderberry, on the palate there is oak, chocolate, spices, all deep and pleasant, with a bit of sweetness, but without added sugar. The aftertaste is long and spicy, turning towards bitter, with a bit of an pleasing alcohol prickle. The overall taste profile is smooth, almost oily, first glass from the bottle seems a bit one dimensional, but the taste develops nicely after a few glasses. My feeling is similar I get with Doorly's - this one is indeed a pleasing and honest rum without additives. Compared with Doorly's 8y - this one has a bit less elaborated nose (Doorly is exceptional indeed), has more heavy, spicy and round taste. Good job mister Chairman!
