Enjoying a glass of Chairman’s Forgotten Cask. This rum is very dry (which I like) but somewhat light. A 43% version would definitely be an improvement but it is nevertheless a decent sipper.

It has some Barbadian flare but is also unique.
On the nose a bit alcoholic and lots of tropical fruits.
On the taste caramel, coffee and fruits.
The color is amazing probably they add some caramel coloring.

Helt utan sötma, god och lång eftersmak.
Inte för spritig. Jag hade föredragit en gnutta sötma.

After a pleasant floral nose when I pop open the bottle, this rum has a slight sweetness and a stronger oakiness that stays with me to the finish. On previous occasions I have had notes of vanilla and caramel. I rather enjoy this rum. It was worth the effort tracking it down.

Dette er en ok rom til prisen. Jeg syntes dog den er lidt for skarp og sprittet til min smag. Dette er ikke en rom jeg vil købe igen.

Hard to decide if it is an 8- but after only 1/3 of a bottle I’ll stop at 7+. Will definitely buy this again

I wanted to like this very much as it was brought to me as a gift from the island. After ample taste tests, I found it was simply not the best for neat sipping, especially if not very cold. Many aromas and flavors at work, some overpowering, almost as a flavored rum. I found with a tiny splash of Fever Tree ginger ale or Schweppes lemon however, it made an excellent grog.
