The nose on this rum is sweet mostly not revealing anything else. It tastes like brown molasses sugar with a well developed body expectant of barreled aged spirits.
It is definitely a sweet rum but not as pleasing as Diplomatic Reserva exclusive.
This rum has much in common with the young Mr Jeremy. Long on body. Long on taste. Long on smoothness. Long on finish. Not overly complex and packs a nice punch.Yes sir, Iβd say that describes Ron and his rum. Itβs damn good. Quality rum.
...Better than i expected, lush but tasty...the smell was nothing to remember, yet not bothering.
The texture was too liquid, It did not run smoothly down my glass,...neither my throat.
It is nice to have it once in the collection, but will not buy it again.
I will try it on the rocks next time, even mixed with coke.
Solid 6.
Now this is some fine stuff. Didn't think high about this rum before I tried it. But what a fantastic rum, the very dark colour looks so tasty in the glass. Nose: caramel, coffee and toffee. Palate: dark chocolate, vanilla fudge and butterscotch. And it's not to sweet! Nice one indeed!
I really like the Ron de Jeremy rums. I finally found a bottle of the XO.
This is a great tasting rum. Has a nice sweet flavor, with molasses, nuts, honey, and oak. A really solid rum to me.
It wasn't very spicey. That's not necessarily a bad thing for an aged rum, and this did have a light spice to it, but I think for this particular flavor, a little more spice could have complemented it nicely.
Still, a great rum for the money, the best of the Ron de Jeremy's, and a very solid '8'.
Don't underestimate this one because of the name. :)
Smooth aroma and taste a mixture of vanilla, coffe and caramel. Don't mess with the Jeremy.
Perfect advertising. Funny and also more importantly...true! Love the little touch of bourbon taste in combination with the extraordinary smoothness. Sweetness is also balanced very well, I think this rum will never start to bore me.
Sweet stuff loaded with caramel, vanilla and oak.
Dont be intimidated by the branding of Ron Jeremy, this is a good buy!

"Vanilla, a tiny hint of spice and the hint of an oaky component..."
"Ron de Jeremy XO review by the Rum Diaries Blog"
Smells a little of stewed almost overripe fruits.
"It doesnβt smell like rum. No oak, no spice, no Vanilla notes, no Jamaican funk."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Mild rum with common aromas, can't find something special or exceptional in it

What do we have here? On average a 7 year old rum from Panama (15y Solera), blended by masterblender Don Pancho (the one with Origins 8, 15, 30) and 40% abv for a round 40β¬.
Ron de Jeremy XO is a blend of rums from Barbados (Foursquare) , Guyana (DDL), Jamaica (various distilleries) and Trinidad (Angostura). 92 g/L of added sugar in a 7y old rum.
If you don't know who Ron de Jeremy was better don't search for that guy.
The nose is not very complex, rather common, no surprices there. I expected a little bit more because with this combination of rums it could be also a navy blend. In the nose I get, caramel, burned sugar, vanilla, some orange. It's not as sweet as I expected.
The taste starts sweet with burned sugar, vanilla, ice tea with peach flavor (that didn't taste like peaches), some bright aroma of wood or paper and some spice. Again not complex, not exceptional, just an easy lover like Ron de Jeremy :)
Common aromas, not very complex, therefor 65 points. Reminds me also a of Pampero Aniversario.
Smell: burned sugar, dry fruits, caramel, oak, orange, vanilla
