This might be your go-to for ti'punch in the US, as I've been able to find it at Total Wine and a few other big retailers for years, from the east to west coasts and between. That's a plus for those of us looking to replicate this no BS, iceless cocktail wherever we find ourselves. The flavors are very standard AOC Martinique rhum agricole, so I won't tread that path for the sake of experienced tasters here. For those who are unfamiliar: a big nose of grassy, citrusy high notes, some mint oil on the finish and vegetal aromas similar to coconut, grapefruit and lime pith.

The value isn't what New Yorkers get with HSE blanc, which has a price point almost $12 less than this Clement blanc, and at 40º, you're getting cheated out of a real ti'punch, which should be 50º, but in terms of versatility and availability, this is a fine acquisition for those curious about the style, stocking an agricole for their bar or just plain feeling punchy in the desert (or coast, for that matter).

I liked this rum for Ti Punch. Nice vegetal flavors right on the money. Drinking neat is out of the question IMHO.

If this is the only agricole available to you, go ahead and try it.

Clement makes good stuff, but this is not that good. Go with the Clement agricole 55 if its available.

Tastes kinda metallic on the palate.

This paired with Smith and Cross makes a perfect Mai Tai. The grassy floral notes of the Clement and the funky bananas of the smith and Cross blend very nicely together.

Souvenirs souvenirs sipping ti punchs until mornings. With the right note of sugar it is a killer, right balance of force, fruits and spices. Better a bit cold.

Bright grassy flavors of cane, overripe banana, herbal.

It's a nice white rum to go with some cocktails, not very interesting alone

I feel like giving this a 6/10 is too harsh... but once I tried the other Rhum Blanc offerings from Clement I had to downgrade from 7/10. It works easily in a 'ti punch, on it's own it's fine until you try something either more wild or more refined. I tend to like the more wild varieties, which lands this as suitable if it's all you can find, but make sure you grab a lime and some cane sugar to toss in with it.

Definitely has that vegetal, grassy note going on, like a young tequila, but with... rummier accompaniments. Some floral notes and light crisp fruits. Works well enough as a mixer opposite heavier, richer rums, but not something I'd go to as a sipper. Makes a nice if uncomplicated ti punch by itself.
