Bacardi Carta Oro

Sometimes rums brands did something amazing, not in this case, but I tasted 2 times in a bar, dont like it, needs more body

Had a bottle of this lying around that was unopened..
I could well have left it like that too :)
Didnt bother with a mixer as i prefer my rum straight...
Bacardi has yet to impress me with a rum, never mind wow me

This one is tasty enough to be used for cocktail (like cuba libre) but on its own this is not enough to spend time and money.

I don't know why I bother with Bacardi anymore . I have yet to have anything that is memorab, it's a joke that they own most of the rum world and block the import of Cuban rum into the usa.. Cuban rum is far superior.. this rum burns as a mixer so god knows how it tastes as a on the rock rum ...

It's not horrible but definitely not good enough to drink without a mixer.

The restyling of Bacardi line bring us this Carta Oro, which comes out while Gold and Reserva were disappearing.
I believe this is not so far from Carta Blanca + caramel, but it tastes better with cola or in mixed drinks.
It is still a cheap rum, and you can find better stuff at the same price, but it is drinkable.

Ya, this one is not for sipping pure on the rocks. But with a red bull coke it is ok.
