Quite sharp and flavoursome when neat but with Coke slightly sweet with a good mix of spices and quite smooth. Very nice.

Unfortunately seems to be hard to find in the UK now. This is one of my favourite tasting rums with coke

Another very good rum. Can be drunk neat but has a sharp taste so again is better with a mixer. Goes great with cola and lime. A good rum for the price.

I'll be honest, when it comes to Bacardi my expectations are in the gutter. but this (discontinued?) carta fuego is, even though very sweet, very tasty!

En god rom att avnjuta som den är men passar även bra ihop med Cola. Absolut en av Bacardis bästa rommer. Ljuvlig färg och milda men tydliga smaker finns om rommen får rulla en liten stund på tungan.

Just bought this for £13 and didn't expect much but thought I'd give it a go. Wow, incredibly smooth, good balance of spices. Really good with a ginger ale mixer!

Bacardi made this good looking rum; the Carta Fuego. The rum is aged for a year in charred oak barrels and mixed with several spices. It has a beautiful dark colour and a sweet and spicy smell. The taste is a combination of cinnamon, vanilla and red fruit and that made it surprisingly pleasant for a Bacardi rum! A big dissapointment is that the oak is not easy to distinguish. Also the rum is quite syrupy.

You do get a lot of sweet sickly toffee and sugar notes.
"There is a hint of Cinnamon or spice. The finish isn’t particularly long and the spirit tingles on the lips. It’s rough and grainy."

Spiced nicely, it is greatly accompanied with Bacardi Carta Negro, some exotic fruits juice and ice!
