Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
The thing I like the most about Lady Bligh is the smooth taste. It has a lighter honey color, and is very good on the rocks or mixed with ginger beer or coke. For the price it is a mainstay in my bar.
Enjoyed a bottle of Lady Bligh Spiced while visiting Grand Canyon. Childish bottle and label design. Vanilla extract, pure alcohol and more vanilla to the nose and palate when neat sipped. Way to sweet and artificial ending.
Big vanilla and good mixed with good with a lime wedge
Bligh as you know was captain of the British HMS Bounty who survived after being mutinied and set adrift by his crew in the late 1700s. Not sure who "Lady" is. Her picture in stiletto boots and petticoats is hot drama but the rum's flavor is well balanced.
This is an underproof spiced that lives on the very bottom shelf at the liquor store because it's cheap. First whiff seemed sharp and thin however its undiluted taste immediately revealed a very pleasing, welcoming flavor. A bit fruity and light. Slightly sweet. Somewhat chocolate. It’s heat and blending are nicely balanced for sipping I think. Its flavor is overall light but mature and respectable. A pretty good tasting rum. I like it a lot. I keep buying more when i run out. This is personal favorite and a must to have on hand.
The up front is delightful, even better than Captain. But, the aftertaste is where this falls short. Mix in your Cola of choice, and this becomes not only palatable, but delightful.
