Now this is some good stuff
Rum tasting in the Finnish wilderness with my good old friend started with Rhum Chantal Comte La Tour de l'Or 2002 Brut de Futs. Extremely nice bottle and label design surrounded by a wooden box. Deep mahogany color. Strong fruits to the nose and palate when neat sipped. Strong and dry burn at the end with very strong traditional Rhum Agricole grassy flavors.
Tried this lovely rhum at the famous Rum Bar in the beautiful Whitsunday Isles in North Queensland recently..
Dont know the year of distillation but im sure it wasnt in bourbon casks. Lovely taste of white fruits with a slightly grassy notes , very fresh and light.. lovely to sip, recommended if you can find it.
Nice light gold color with vegetal and fruity notes. The sugar cane is very present with pear and apple. Vanilla is also present. On the palate, the alcool is present but not too hard. The fruity aroma are still persistent and the apple is still present. Very nice rum with a not very long final. This version is coming from La favorite distillery 9 Year - 54,4°
