Kirk and Sweeney 23-Year

Excellent rum, better than 12 and better than 18. Great on nose, long lasting aftertaste.

I have quite a few sipping runs and was quite surprised how good this rum is. Great aroma, pleasant taste of caramel and vanilla. Very little burn at the end. Facunda Esquisito is my all time favorite and this is a close second to that.

The aroma was even better than the flavour....ok nearly. Silky smooth with banana, vanilla and butterscotch. A saver for special moments.

Does it ever get any better than this? I dare not give a 10 as I have yet to taste QRM 30 (and a lot other I expect to be in 10ish range) -so this one gets a 9

You know when you stubble on a really good rum at a great price and then find out it is almost perfection in a glass , this rum is it a smooth gentle sweetness that rolls off the lips around your mouth and down your throat , OH SO GOOD !!!
If you have a chance to pick this bottle up at a steel of a deal at $40 USD do it do not hesitate you won’t regret it 👍👍👍👍

Vanilla, then caramel, then oak in a smooth rum with a mild bite. My favorite of this genre and one of my first reaches to sip neat.

The deep amber color is beautiful in a crystal glass. Vanilla dominates the nose but much more is present; hard to define but complex fruit notes. Coffee and vanilla on the tongue, followed by more vanilla in the finish, with rich caramel. Cask finish may have included sherry casks? This is my first age-statement dark rum, so cask type is much more prominent than Solera rums. Very nice overall!

I didn't know what to expect when I bought this rum. I admit i saw the bottle and wanted to give it a try. I was very happy with this rum and want to try the 12 and 18 year. I enjoyed it neat.

Wery nice one, complex and ballanced, full. Dried fruits. On the beginning with also wood taste, later sweet tone also with honey like.
