Really cheap rum. It mainly serves to conceive "arranged rums" or to get drunk to forget the last 20 years of your life !! No interest in tasting. Nevertheless, it remains faithful to the particular characteristics of the great rums of Reunion, that is to say Savanna's rhums vieux (old rums) and mainly those that combine one or more of the following characteristics: "Single Cask", "Brut de fût" and "Grand Arôme".
In short, to a very lesser extent, there is a sugar presence, a pepper and mineral nose and a certain length in the mouth.

Charrette from Reunion is a collaboration between the other distilleries in Reunion.
It’s said to be the most bought rum in Reunion.
It’s produced from sugar cane syrup which means that it’s not an Agricole, instead it’s a French styled Traditional rum.
The aromas is floral, sweet and vegetal with hints of vanilla and olive.
In mouth and palate it’s sweet, vegetal and a little peppery.
Overall an easy consumable not very demanding rum for someone used to Agricole’s Blanc 50-55%.
Tested it in a TI Punch and it worked well, but I prefer an stronger Agricole Blanc.
I’m quite sure it will fit quite good in any rum drink, especially better than any multi column produced white rum.

Flower, fruity, molases in aroma; honey in start, apricot snaps, molases, wood in the end of the body; little warming short tail.

floral, sweet, and slightly peppery taste. Aroma TOP, taste a bit worse.

Rums from La Reunion are in general not fantastic, especially compared to their counterparts in Guadeloupe & Martinique...The whole fruity/sugary bit is missing and it's not smooth

Rhum made in La Réunion island. Atypical taste and quite strong in alcohol which marries perfectly lemon juice. It is good with fruit juice too.

As all rhum agricole, it has a sweet smell. Mild flavors as it is not an aged rhum. Very good in coktails or for the traditionnal Ti'Punch!
