Wow... This is some nasty stuff. Smells like nail polish remover and tastes like paint thinner (or what I would imagine it to taste like, as I really haven't drank any). I recently visited Jamaica, and a local said that that is what they drank, so I bought a bottle. No amount of coke could make this drinkable. I dumped it down the sink and made a new drink with some Appletons.
This is what the locals in Jamaica sip on or mix with Ting (a grapefruit flavored soda). This stuff will get you there, but might burn a hole in your stomach. Upside is its also used as a cure all on the island too. Be careful with this stuff.
This bottle definitely tastes like a Hampden done for the locals , like a rum fire but with more burn and less filtration .. the locals of the parish love it and I can see why ..
I added a drop of water.ij the tasting to start breaking the esters up

JB stands for Johncrow Batty which means a Turkey Vulture’s ass because we drink this mainly during times of grieving or while doing manual labor. It’s to get us drunk not to truly enjoy rum. The taste itself is not great
