Now this is more like in the Spiced catagory! Lovely warm balance of spices with cloves and cinnamon leading over the typical vanilla aswell as a good amount of sweetness and citrus there too. Makes a great Toddy in the winter or another contender for the Dark N Stormy but more importantly i wouldnt say no to a double over a few ice cubes ;-)

Very nice spiced rum. Strong notes of orange and citrus. Not so much actual baking spices, maybe a slight hint, but still really great either way.
Really good spiced rum for the lower/medium price point. Well balanced. Various spices, cinammon, not overly sweet. A lovely all round drink.

It has an excellent aroma, and the taste is equally delightful. The blend of spices is incomparable to the other rums I have tried.

Excellent sipping rum, with the orange peel and cinnamon as major spice. Well rounded and not very sweet as it has no added sugar.

I think the Captain turned me off of spiced rums and am just getting back into them. Rum ratings has helped me find better examples of this category and am appreciative! The 7 is solid and I would be happy to sip this all night long. However, I doubt it would displace any of the regular rums rated as high for my attention and money given a choice though I did enjoy the distraction!

Very nice sweet fresh flower and perhaps one of the go to rums for this price (27eur in Greece)
An amazing Balanced and smooth rum. Great spice mix that you feel from the moment you open the bottle. Its a rum that relaxes you with full body and sweet tones. Its got some bitter undertones at the finish that balance out the sweetness. Overall a great vfm rum.

I'm not a fan of spiced rums, but this one isn't bad. However, it's a bit too sweet for my taste. The nose carries notes of caramel and cinnamon, with the palate emphasizing cinnamon. The aftertaste is pleasant as the initial sweetness fades, giving way to a lingering vanilla flavor.

The fact that this is not your ordinary spiced rum is obvious right from the initial nose. which is a bit heavy on the banana but complimented by darker spices; cinnamon, cloves, possibly nutmeg.
It pours a nice, dark amber and displays good legs in the glass.
The mouth feel is good, the rum is smooth and the spices express themselves well while held in the mouth.
Swallowing seems to intensify the flavours, leaving a very pleasing after taste with just the hint of an alcohol burning sensation.
This is not your normal, sweet, offered at the bar spiced rum. The flavours are more subtle and subdued. Plus the rum is very smooth and the exact flavours leave you guessing.
Would definitely work in some cocktails, however it is also just fine on its own.
