Didn’t know rum could taste like this. Saw the word spiced and expected vanilla, but those cloves! Wow. I can enjoy this neat, but my rating is based on a little ginger ale in the mix!
You get a very tasteful rum with pleasant yet not at all overwhelming flavors at a pretty good price point. This is a rum I will be stocking on for regular drinking
I like the spiced half of this. Burn the rum underneath it burns too much for me.
Smells orange heavily, cloves, cinnamon, syrupy.
Tastes like it smells: sweet, orangey, cloves, cinnamon, slight wood flavors.
Too much of an alcohol burn after taste for me.
It’s full of spices. It’s easy to differentiate the cinnamon, orange, vanilla and cloves as the flavour follows through. Consider this a premium regular spiced rum. Something that is consistent and reliable. However the lack of difference and specialty isn’t for me.
You really taste the cloves neat it’s smooth with ginger and with coke the cloves are prominent not my favourite but very nice.
I do love spiced rum, this is a nice subtle drop with plenty of flavour and the smell is exquisite. Well worth the buy as a grear sipper
Deep mahogany colour with a red hue. A strong aroma of bitter orange, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla lead to a sweet and powerful flavour with good burn and heavy spice. $45 at LCBO. Rum and coke tastes like Dr.Pepper. Will not buy again.
Sehr lecker. Geht wunderbar pur. Man schmeckt die gute Basis in Verbindung mit ausgewählten Gewürzen. Kein Vergleich mit den Spiced Rums aus dem Supermarkt.
Have waited a while but finally bought my bottle of Chairman's Spiced. Not a lot of mix needed for this if any. A great taste. Smooth. No bite or after taste. Is a great rum to slowly enjoy. Great spice added to a good rum.
"is infused with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanilla"
"Chairman's Reserve Spiced rum review by The Fat Rum Pirate"
It has quite a forward cinnamon aroma.
"Its pretty smooth and doesn’t give much burn beyond the cinnamon kick. It’s not very rough it has a fairly pleasant burn."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The fact that this is not your ordinary spiced rum is obvious right from the initial nose. which is a bit heavy on the banana but complimented by darker spices; cinnamon, cloves, possibly nutmeg.
It pours a nice, dark amber and displays good legs in the glass.
The mouth feel is good, the rum is smooth and the spices express themselves well while held in the mouth.
Swallowing seems to intensify the flavours, leaving a very pleasing after taste with just the hint of an alcohol burning sensation.
This is not your normal, sweet, offered at the bar spiced rum. The flavours are more subtle and subdued. Plus the rum is very smooth and the exact flavours leave you guessing.
Would definitely work in some cocktails, however it is also just fine on its own.
