This is a wonderful rum that is very smooth and has great character and flavor. Caramel and Toffee are most forward in this one which is what I like. Scents and smooth and pleasing and I really enjoyed sipping this neat. It is quite similar to Clement VSOP but this one has a bit more character and bit thicker in flavors. Definitely one I'd recommend and have again.

It's a smooth rum that does not burn on the throat . Delicate flavour and a lovel taste . Not a top shelf but a quality standard of rum .

While a bit too plain to sip on its own, it is one of my favorites for mixing. It has some of the distinct St. Lucia-taste, so if you are not into that, go with a more normal mixer. But if you want a little more bite in your drinks, this one will do the trick.

It's definitely a good rum to drink pure, but after an initial good taste it just... Stops. Not sure how to describe it. It's still an excellent choice

Reçu en cadeau ...

Bien content de ne pas avoir dépensé un dollar sur ce produit médiocre.
De l'alcool à friction avec une étiquette de Rhum.

Initial aroma very pleasant with a full range of spices apparent from the off. first taste was a little disappointing however after being left in the glass for 5 min the drink seemed to relax and gave a fuller flavour and certainly went down a lot smoother. Too nice to be used as a mixer and not nice enough to be a show piece but very drinkable.

Everything is good: there is a flavor, the taste of the original, alcohol content in moderation. But this is - not a model to be copied.

A dry smokey tasting rum with subtle flavours, easy sip straight, goes down easy

Too harsh too drink straight, decent enough when mixed with coke.
Nothing special, but enjoyable enough.

This one I've been putting off for a while because it's one of the few rums that is pretty much on the shelf at about every local liquor store. Sometimes placed within the Capt. Morgan/Bacardi/Malibu/Cruzan shelves which isn't a good thing IMHO. Made me hesitate getting a bottle for quite some time.

But, it finally came time to try some...

It does have an appealing rich amber color and its aroma is very nice. A little caramel...a little ethanol. Not bad.

Sipping it reveals a bit of sweetness with flavors of vanilla and the oak in which it was aged. A little too much oak for sipping. Has just a tad too much bitterness for my tastes in sipping rums. The finish is somewhat dry so it appears this is a rum best suited for mixing especially in fruit-based drinks where the sweetness would balance out the bitterness from the oak.

Potentially this would be even better rum if allowed to age for 5-7 more years. That's the missed potential.

Not a terrible rum but one I would pass on if several certain other brands are available.

Right sweetness but some harshness. Taste of mainly smokey oak, some dried fruit.
