Chairman's Reserve rum is produced in St Lucia using continuous and pot stills. The rum from these stills are aged for 3-4 years separetly, then combined and aged for 6 more months to marry the flavors.

Quite a pleasant rum with vanilla notes especially with cola. Quite smooth and not what I expected given the venue!! Need to find it in the shops for a more considered tippling!
Neat its a quite warm sip.better than when mixed with coke. I preferred it with a little breathing time. In other words I let it sit for a while. I'm not going to rush out and replace this bottle but not because i didn't like it. It's just very similar to other stuff and there's so many more to try.
I tend to switch between this and 1919 as my everyday sipper. While the 1919 is a lot more commercial (and it has something I find appealing), this is in truth a much better rum. Very smooth, touch of vanilla and oak, but not enough to mask the gentle flavours on the palate. A nice medium length finish. While I note that others find the alcohol a wee bit harsh, this isn't something that I find. Given the low price this is really a 7½/10
Initial aroma very pleasant with a full range of spices apparent from the off. first taste was a little disappointing however after being left in the glass for 5 min the drink seemed to relax and gave a fuller flavour and certainly went down a lot smoother. Too nice to be used as a mixer and not nice enough to be a show piece but very drinkable.
a bit of a burn to me...good after taste though
Everything is good: there is a flavor, the taste of the original, alcohol content in moderation. But this is - not a model to be copied.
Surprisingly smooth for a 3-4 years old. Not very sweet and perhaps not the most complex. I would love to drink a premium aged version of this one. Good value anyways.
It's a smooth rum that does not burn on the throat . Delicate flavour and a lovel taste . Not a top shelf but a quality standard of rum .
Smooth with a nice honey coloring.. Nothing wrong with it and nice to drink whilst relaxing with a book or paper..
Just not fully "up there"
"sweet and fruity but has a bit of smokiness"
"Chairman's Reserve rum review by The Fat Rum Pirate"
It’s sweet and fruity but has a bit of smokiness to it as well.
"It can be sipped and it isn’t rough or harsh. There is a bit of an alcohol burn but even that is quite smoky and pleasant."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Chairmans reserve has sat on the shelves in the local supermarket for quite a while, and because its pricing sat between several off the shelf favourites I never really gave it any time with its non-assuming bottle. Recently they had an event with some colourful designs on their bottle and I was looking for something different so thought I would give it a go.
WOW- instantly became a new supermarket fave, smooth, strong but mellow caramel, and a loong finish. Adds amazing character to mixed drinks and can easily be enjoyed neat. I recently saw these on sale for a ridiculously good price so grabbed a couple more bottles as it draws towards the christmas season. Will use it for some rum-buttercream for some cakes. Don't pass this one up if you see it on the shelf.
