Saint Lucia | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled
Chairman's Reserve rum is produced in St Lucia using continuous and pot stills. The rum from these stills are aged for 3-4 years separetly, then combined and aged for 6 more months to marry the flavors.
The first blend of Chairman’s Reserve was produced in 1999 by St. Lucia Distillers, which was founded in 1932, and overseen by the company's Chairman Laurie Barnard.

This is very pleasant especially with an ice cube or two. It has an ethanol, molasses and caramel nose and taste with a slight touch of oak and spice. It is slightly sweet and has
only a moderate alcoholic kick and burn.
I would not describe it as overly complex, but having said that, the more I have drank it, the more I have liked it. It's grown on me and that is a good sign. There are a few different flavours in it, sitting together very smoothly and enjoyably. At a cost of £23 it's very good value and although it's not as different as the spiced version, it is easier to drink regularly, and I would go through this much quicker. Above all it has a really nice warming feeling and a slight brandy-like heat to it.
A present which is very very drinkable. a must try
The rum has a flawless aroma and taste and their detailed descriptions are already brought here by the others. My personal attitude is positively twisted by the fact that we ordered this drink after a successful foosball tournament. To conclude, there's a strong desire to taste it again.
A dry smokey tasting rum with subtle flavours, easy sip straight, goes down easy
I love the almost-wild aromas in this rum! Both aroma and taste really seem to open up over an ice cube with some time to "settle". A little harsh on the finish, perhaps, and some continued alcohol in the nose, but something about this product rubs me the right way.
i love all the chairman"s rum. All of Them I say!!!!!!!!!!
Nice young aged rum for rum and cokes... Sweeter and less harsh than most other rums of this maturity. The beautiful reddish amber is inviting as is the light molasses smell.
My "go to" rum for a consistent drink!
Try their "Admiral Rodney" rum for a smoky top shelf sipper...
Sweet, smooth and nicely subtle. Very good for an evening nightcap.
This is one of my favorite entry level rums. I can sip it straight, on the rocks, or with coconut water. It is great in Painkillers as well. I brought back a bottle of the Forgotten Casks when we are in St. Luica. Too bad I forgot to not drink it all. This is available in the US, but in PA it generally has to be ordered as they don't carry it on the shelves.
"sweet and fruity but has a bit of smokiness"
"Chairman's Reserve rum review by The Fat Rum Pirate"
It’s sweet and fruity but has a bit of smokiness to it as well.
"It can be sipped and it isn’t rough or harsh. There is a bit of an alcohol burn but even that is quite smoky and pleasant."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
