Beautiful amber in a glass.
In the nose very reserved, caramel, white fruits, chocolate and some toasted wood.
On the palate look warm and full of chocolate, caramel and toffee.
In the finish like a caramel cream candy with chocolate core.
A quite palatable Ron for all days, which can also compete with the XO.

Usikker på hva det lukter, i motsetning til mange andre typer er den lite søt

Mm, what a aroma. Smooth, pleasant, caramely. Tastes smooth too, very interesting. Not alcoholic, light.

I have often seen Mombacho rum at the local rum dealer, but somehow I have never found it to be one, that I wanted to try. Now that I have tried it I wish, that I would have done it sooner.

Nose: Liquorice, oak and brown sugar
Taste: Oak, vanilla, brown sugar and liquorice
Overall: This is a really good rum that checks off all the right notes for a rum of this type. The low price also adds to my enthusiasm about this, but the most important thing is the taste and it certainly also delivers in that category.

Doftar lite fruktkaka. Kryddig men ändå len smak. Lång eftersmak.

This amber colored rum is what I would describe as a pleaser. The nose opens up gently with butterscoth at first, then more subtle nuances of candied orange, almond and oak. The palate is nicely rounded and very pleasent with butterscoth, marcipan and oak. It’s slightly tingling on the short finish but not in demanding way at all. This is the kind of rum that fits a lazy and relaxing sunny afternoon perfectly. Unwind and enjoy.

At first glance, the packaging is uninviting but when I got into it I was pleasantly surprised. A great aroma. Surprisingly pleasant smell of licorice (not a fan of licorice), oak and brown or maybe demerara sugar. Pleasant, caramely, vanilla, sugary taste. Tastes smooth too, very interesting. Not so alcohol forward. This is a really decent rum that checks off all the right boxes. Didn’t need to add Cola at all. It stands on its own as a sipper.

Has that sweet molasses flavour with a hint of citrus like many nicaraguan rums. Slight wood finish but all in all a great inexpensive young rum. Im looking forward to trying their older rums.

Discovered in a rum calendar, this Mombacho has a nice nose with caramel and banana. Unfortunately the taste is too alcoholic
