Ron Esclavo XO Cask

I don't want to spoil the local high rating. I love this brand, but this is a little too much for me ...
I can only smell alcohol in the smell, my throat burns after drinking and it's like some absinthe, not good rum. I like Esclavo XO 42% much more, to which I will return.

Nechci kazit místní vysoké hodnocení. Tuhle značku miluji a verzi XO si cením mezi svými klenoty na přední příčce, ale tohle už je na mne trochu přespříliš...
Ve vůni cítím jenom líh, po napití mi shoří hrdlo a je to jako nějaký absint, ne dobrý rum. Mnohem víc mi chutná Esclavo XO 42%, ke kterému se vrátím.

With a 130 proof this one takes no prisoners... even though its both sweet and well balanced it still have a decent burn when sipped straight.

Nose: apples, burned figs and alcohol
Pallet: wood, figs, caramel and alcohol with a hint of smoke and a long powerfull yet well balanced deep burn.

Packed with flavour and a wonderfull nose, much like the XO but stronger smell and much stronger alcohol taste!

The high alcohol percentage doesn't feel like too much. Like rest of the Esclavos we're talking sweet rums. A little overpriced at only 50cl a bottle, but you get a quality product and a long lasting taste.

Klart anbefaling på en ROM i den søde ende

Virkelig en god rom er altid på min hylde kraftig og godt med sødme og så lige et spark bag i med alkoholprocenten

Very Nice flavour considering it’s strength. Not a cheap drop here in Oz A$150 for 500ml so it’ll be only sipped when my footy team wins in style and I’m in the mood for something a bit stronger than normal as a treat

LÆKKER DUFT!! Næsen bliver fyldt af den lækreste chokolade. Smagen er noget helt andet fra start. En stor eksplosion sker, og efterfølgende fylder en dejlig chokolade, karamel men stadig med en stor sum procenter bag. Et dejligt glas!
