Leans towards a burban, but has all the funk

While taking a trip to Honolulu, we stopped by their distillery to try all their rums possible and was please try suprised by all. This rum leans far more towards flavor notes of a bourbon, being a higher proff, you'd expect a little bit of a burn, but far from the case. It had a very curious blend of smoke and funk that coats your tounge and throat while tasting and swallowing. This was not their most flavorfull or interesting choice amongst their selection, but a comfortable one for those wanting to get out of their comfort zone to try an Agricole or to broaden their taste. (Such as I, at this moment I'm still fairly new to the whole rum game)
