Bon rhum de dégustation, fait parti d'une petite dégustation qui bon ami m'a apporté pour ma fête de mes 50 ans.

Tried the Plantation Nicaragua 2001 and 2003 rums back-to-back and once more, very little difference between these two different vintages. Both are very dry, much more dryer than the Flor de Cana family of rums coming from Nicaragua and they are already very dry rums to start with. Both the 2001 and 2003 vintages are surprisingly sweet, although they are both super dry. That combination is quite unique in aged rums. Neither of the rums have any burn at the end, so they are quite smooth. Good stuff, but far away from the benchmark Plantation Barbados 20th Anniversary XO.

Plantation has always hit me where i like it. Very tasty product, rich and rumminess as you would expect from this brand. Nice wood and fairly smooth.

Typical high quality Plantation rum. This is one of the better ones of the vintage line up.
had the typical plantation taste, but with bit wetter than the usual dryness. very fruity with carmel and toffe notes also some smoke

Don't be fooled by my score, this rum is delicious. If you're into the slightly drier, and at 42% ABV, more potent rums, you enjoy this. There's an initial sweetness to it but fades into a finish similar to flor de cana 12.
This is a great representation of the region.

Out of the plantation vintage rums I really enjoy the Nicaraguan bottle. It is buttery with a nice smokey sweetness. Nice hints of allspice, nutmeg and vanilla.
The rum is nicely balanced.
"Sweet brown sugar almost honey like notes a little nuttiness, a nice rich oaky vanilla note."

Alkohol: 42 %
Původ: Nicaragua
Aroma: Překrásný mix kůže, cedrového dřeva, kokosu, starého dřeva, mírně pak i laku a peprmintu. Vůně je plná, šťavnatá, trochu pichlavá. (92 b)
Chuť: Chuť přímo skvěle odráží vůni. Medově-kokosová nasládlost, exotické dřevo, klasický rumový šmak i něco pralinek. (90 b)
Body: 91
Shrnutí: Pro mě výborný rum, už vůně je doslova k nakousnutí. Nadchl mě podobně jako Plantation Panama 2002.
