Nothing about this is "anejo" because any other flavor is overpowered by cherry.
... that somehow I find attractive. Coffee, vanilla and the other usual suspects plus a not unpleasant peppery finish. Excellent with mixers and as THE ingredient for homemade rum cake. Oddly, label says distilled in the Dominican Rep., bottled in Spain and distributed in the USA.
Had a rum tasting on a sunny afternoon, because why not. Capitan Bucanero Viejo Añejo Rum bottle and label design looks very cheap and low end. Light golden color. Pure alcohol and nasty artificial flavors to the nose and palate. Strong burn at the end. Just barely mixable.
Little sharper taste of alcohol with smooth presence of almond. Ron is aged in pale oak barrel, this taste can be felt on tongue little bit. Smell of almond and sweetness is very low but recognisable.
vůně mandle a med
začátek příjemný ale konec slušně alkoholový
pro příjemný zážitek doporučuji domácí soleru 66% Capitan Bucanero Viejo Anejo a 33% Capitan Bucanero 7-
