Ryoma 7-Year rum is made from sugar cane grown in Japan's oldest cane plantation, then aged for 7 years in oak casks. The rum produced by Kikusui, a distillery located about 300 km SW of Osaka, Japan.
The Ryoma Rum's namesake is Sakamoto Ryōma, a prominent figure in the Tokugawa shogun's overthrow, marking the end of Japan's last feudal military government that transitioned in 1868.

Best japanese rum I’ve ever tasted Sippable But would be killer in some nutmeg type cocktail, has a slight punch with a bit of wood notes

Fruity aroma but quite delicate, toffee caramel, very slight alcohol burn, not much on the finish
As said before, grassy, single malt-y and pleasantly dry. Unsure whether I like it or not. A bit harsh in the end, maybe the edges will be less pronounced after the bottle is open for a while.
EDIT: a nice companion for the hip flask.

it s a japanese agricole, people try it and say it have a weird medicinal flavour, japanese make good whisky, not rum ... also it s not cheap !

Rhum découvert par hasard.
Et ça a été une très belle surprise.
Au nez il apparaît très savoureux. En bouche l attaque est assez légère les arômes sont très appréciables et font penser au whisky. La finale est correcte avec une forte prononciation de caramel qui reste en bouche.
Je l ai beaucoup apprécié.

Au nez c'est très sympa, en bouche beaucoup moins. beaucoup de SUCRE.! ceci dit parfait pour flamber les crevettes

Ni plus ni moins que du saké. Vraiment déçus par la prestation, autant sur le whisky ils sont la, alors que ici je ne vois rien de rhum.
Odeur et goût de saké, fort en douche qui la laisse sèche.
