is pretty alcoholic in the nose but also with lovely vanilla and caramel notes. Taste is rich caramel, nuts, vanilla. Taste stays quite long. Sweet and super nice rum. New favourite.

Fin sødlig duft - men der sker ikke så meget i munden. Ron Esclavo XO Cask er langt bedre og mere kraftfuld

Recht süß, aber sehr angenehm. Karamell, Vanille, weich, voll, rund, ausgewogen. Etwas fruchtig. Langer Nachhall.

Hvis du er til sød rom bør denne altid være en fast beboer i barskabet!
Meget afbalanceret og med masser af søde noter.

En dejlig rund rom, som stadig er blandt mine favoritter. Den tager lige et skridt op i forhold til 12 og 15 både i forhold til duft og smag, men prisen er også derefter.

Provsmakade denna igår och blev överaskad hur bra den var. Låg bara snäppet under diplomatico. Mild fin lagom söt med en lite bränd eftersmak.

Tenhle rum jsem původně srovnával s Esclavo 15 a měl nevýhodu, protože 15 je o něco sladší. Nejprve jsem byl tedy trochu zklamaný, ale ukázalo se, že tenhle rum potřebuje větší panák, aby ukázal své kouzlo.
Vůně je výrazná a plná, nejvýraznější složka je asi karamel, k tomu trochu vanilky a kávy.
S chutí je to podobné, jemná, téměř neznatelně pálivá, s karamelovo vanilkovými tóny. Ta chuť Vám ale zůstane na patře velmi, velmi dlouho. A pokud si dáte další doušek, postupně se vám všechny chuťové buňky probudí a rezonují. Mezi doušky mám rád pauzu, která nechá chuť rozvinout a zase pomalu mizet, než ji zase posílím - třeba i 10-15 minut.

Good molasses rum, the tangerine taste is unique. It needs a long time in the glas, you can not stick you nose in it immediately.
There is first some molasses in the nose, but after 5min it disappears.
It's sweet and a little bit spicy. Burned sugar with spice is a very intensive flavour.
This aroma combination is almost too spicy for me.
It's rich and intensive, but the sweetness goes up because of the spice. I would prefer less spicy or less sweet version of it.
The mandarine and px sherry taste is very nice. I get an imagination of drinking a PX Sherry (my last PX sherry was a very good and old one).
Profile: mandarine, burned sugar, px sherry
Smell: first some molasses for 5min with steel, caramel, herbs (like in Zacapa rums), burned sugar, dry fruits, mandarine in the background, oak/barrel (earth), some sherry
Taste: mandaaaarrriiine with caramel (this is a very long lasting mandarine), burned sugar, caramel
Middle: caramel, again mandarine, again burned sugar (some bitterness or mandarine peels)
Finish: long, spicy, maaaandaaaaarine, caramel, spice, px sherry
Aftertaste: px sherry and mandarine (do they used PX casks? nice)
