Purchased a sample from www.masterofmalt.com for under £10, decided to try after reading a review on here. The bottle was sold out but luckily there were still samplers available.

It's got a rich dark brown hue, and is from the Dominican Republic it's well aged and rounded and a wonderful sipping rum I definitely would not spoil the flavours and aromas by mixing this beauty.

It's sweet and reminiscent of sherry on the nose and in the mouth, it's remarkably smooth even though it comes in at 42% abv. It's simply a wonderful rum I'm glad I read the review I did and will certainly purchase a full bottle in the future.

What a nice rum. Bit sweet and sirupy consistancy. Round in the mouth. Taste lasts long time. Nose is great. Like it as much as diplomatico exclusiva.

Good molasses rum, the tangerine taste is unique. It needs a long time in the glas, you can not stick you nose in it immediately.
There is first some molasses in the nose, but after 5min it disappears.
It's sweet and a little bit spicy. Burned sugar with spice is a very intensive flavour.
This aroma combination is almost too spicy for me.
It's rich and intensive, but the sweetness goes up because of the spice. I would prefer less spicy or less sweet version of it.
The mandarine and px sherry taste is very nice. I get an imagination of drinking a PX Sherry (my last PX sherry was a very good and old one).

Profile: mandarine, burned sugar, px sherry

Smell: first some molasses for 5min with steel, caramel, herbs (like in Zacapa rums), burned sugar, dry fruits, mandarine in the background, oak/barrel (earth), some sherry
Taste: mandaaaarrriiine with caramel (this is a very long lasting mandarine), burned sugar, caramel
Middle: caramel, again mandarine, again burned sugar (some bitterness or mandarine peels)
Finish: long, spicy, maaaandaaaaarine, caramel, spice, px sherry
Aftertaste: px sherry and mandarine (do they used PX casks? nice)

Mycket god söt rom med inslag av vanilj och karamel. Prisvärd

The color is dark, the smell is sweet and pleasant. It is thick and creamy. Maybe too rich and heavy for my taste but I would certainly recommend it.

Smooth and neat rum with rastes of vanilla and honey.

Taste is typical Ron Esclavo - sweet and warm. Level up from 12y. Very good smooth rum with not very high complexity and average long aftertaste.

Denna flaskas största egenskap är balansen mellan söt och spritstyrka.
Den visar lite ”muskler” utan att bli spritig, de gör de flesta Esclavo och gör dem lite ensamma. En bra rom att ha brevid många andra i skåpet och denna ger avsevärd skillnad när man har provning. Rekommenderas.
