If you like the spanish school of rum you will not be dissapointed. Sweet and smooth, but not as rich and balanced as the XO, but a good and cheaper alternative.

I like the Esclavo series. This is a notch below the XO but a very good value rum.

For me this product is pricevalue! Rum with body and long aftertaste. I like the XO slightly better but this one is not far away. This is in my opininon a "must have" for every Rum lovers. Ron Esclavo is a brand you should be proud about!

Once on the palate, this rhum is a little bit dryer then expected by the nose but
really not too much. All flavors detected by the nose are still presents when you sip it.
It is even a little bit more spicied ( pepper ).

I tastend the 12 and 15 year on separate occasions. I really like both but the 15 year didn't impress me much more then the 12. It is smoother and s bit less sweet so depending on what you like the 15 could be worth the higher price.

Vi rammer 7,5 i rating her. Duften er fantastisk, en dejlig sødme og en god duft af karamel og chokolade. Jeg vidste jeg kun kunne blive skuffet over smagen efter dette. Smagen er ikke udpræget, en lang og god eftersmag synes jeg ikke rammer og jeg står egentlig tilbage med en følelse af at der mangler noget. Uden tvivl en fin rom i den søde ende, men håbet gik på noget ala Quorhum og dette fik jeg ikke. Udemærket sipper, men ikke mere end det. Jeg må få smagt XOen!
