Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is made by combining yeasts, molasses, water and mash, which are then distilled in a continuous still. The rum is aged for up to 1 year followed by the addition of spices and flavors indigenous to the Caribbean Islands.

Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

This is my go to rum when I have a party with guests who like to mix their rums with soda. The price is always on budget so I don't mind when they go thru an entire 1.75 liter bottle, I can always afford more of it. Of the spiced Rums, this one has to be my favorite. Not perfect by any means but very easy to like!

Great as a mixer, with pepsi, ginger ale, or sprite, my go to favorite for mixing

As a cheap mixing rum Captain Morgan delivers. Personally It's good to try at least once, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

It's not meant to be a premium rum, and it shows.

I was in Anticipation to open this bottle as it was my first Captain Morgan, having left it on the shelf as an economical choice, I thought "what could it hurt?". I was not entirely disappointed. Unbottling reveals a swarm to the senses, vanilla dominates all round and your first glimpses of the spices are revealed. (I will not cause boredom on details of aromas I caught but it was pleasant all round). Aroma carries nicely into flavouring with no oddities or surprises from nose to mouth, this is a strength of the rum I believe.
I tired very quickly of taste neat, so experimented with mixers. This is where this shines through and creates a drop with utility. At approx $40NZD, this would be an easy road introduction for first time spiced rum tasters. Personally, I avoid spiced rums finding their overused flavoring too in the face. I didn't mind the good Captain, although, I would not purchase again the experience too short lived and tiresome.

Well it beat's tea or ice water if those are your only options. One of the staple brands served on my SPI and anything on the island you can't go wrong with.

This is what you drink when you know you are too drunk to appreciate a sipping rum and it's time to move onto a long drink. A store cupboard emergency standby.

This like many people would say, is my first introduction to rum, really decent, sweet, likeable enough, although I've experienced better even though I wouldn't pass on it either.

Nice color, powerful on the nose, nice mixing rum. Pour in some apple juice or cola add some ice and enjoy. Not the best spiced rum but far from the worst. The go to bargain rum in a pinch!

Prefer Capt. Morgan over Bacardi anytime. Still like Raken for a spiced rum for mixing.

If you love rum drinks and have no money then buy a bottle.

With coke this is my day to day drink - not one for savouring and would only ever have as a mixer but still love it's simplicity
