Captain Morgan Spiced rum

Captain Morgan Spiced

Puerto Rico | Spiced

Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is made by combining yeasts, molasses, water and mash, which are then distilled in a continuous still. The rum is aged for up to 1 year followed by the addition of spices and flavors indigenous to the Caribbean Islands.

Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

Used to drink this in my late teens/early 20's when going to bars/clubs when I wanted something else than beer.
Mixed with coke it's quite OK, but nothing special. Can still drink it occasionally when I want a cheap rum and coke.
Not for drinking straight up!

Ideal as a chaser drink and a step up if you enjoyed the original dark rum. Not great but good enough to buy again if you like a bit of spice in your life.............. sorry rum.😊

The only good thing about Captain Morgan is what it did for the rum business. The flavor is just watery and it's only palatable when mixed with a soda.

If you need something that everyone can use to mix, this is probably your go to rum. Everyone knows what the captain has to offer, and if you do not, at least try it. Once you figure out that it can get a little pricey in some areas, try Shellback rum. It tastes better, and is a few dollars cheaper. I would suggest trying this with Sprite or Coke. Either way works.

This is a classic that you order at the bar or take out to the beach when you want to have a good time and not impress anyone with your drink.

If you like spiced rums, this is an amazingly well balanced entry-level choice. Subtle hints of spices, fruits, vanilla and a host of others I can't seem to place, it's light and clear and works well in a mixer.
