Puerto Rico | Spiced

Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is made by combining yeasts, molasses, water and mash, which are then distilled in a continuous still. The rum is aged for up to 1 year followed by the addition of spices and flavors indigenous to the Caribbean Islands.

Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

Definitely not for sipping neat or on the rocks. Mixing very well with coke. Too much alcohol smell and taste. Not enough flavor...

Colour, body and aroma are fine. To me it is over sweet although I am not sure of the origin of the sweetness, could be added suar not sure. At 35% and advertised with lots of coke it is basically a party drink.

Like having your friends round. Very familiar, easy to enjoy and sometimes leaves you wanting something else. Easy to like, easy to get, often on offer which makes it a staple in my book.

Pas désagréable mais il se dégustera plus aisément comme accompagnant que pure.

Surprisingly good even if not complex, this is the deserving commander of the spiced rum crew. Seems at times to have almost a straight vanilla flavour; very easy to sip directly on the rocks; pleasingly sweet with no harshness or cloying aspects as with other spiced rums or lower-priced rums generally. Seen in Continental Europe as 'Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold' (35% abv), this a delightful mainstay of the home bar.

For beginners. Its not bad but if you look for other rums you will find out that there are a lot of better ones, also in this price range

One of the very first rum's i consumed, tasty at the time, but when you experience the taste of better rum's out there you release how mediocre captain morgan is. it's sweet and mild tasting with caramel/vanilla tones.
drink with cola. i'd probably mix it with cola cherry or vanilla to make it taste better.

Good for cocktails. Add Vanilla faste in the bind. Not a great run and can be easily consumed in a bind. Would not recommend it as a sipper

Original avec du coca mais plus une boisson d'apéritif à vrai dire

With Captin Morgan, it is easily accessable in most high street shops, so therefore is only going to be a basic rum. Good to start off on, good for mixing in coke or cocktails. After a few mixed in with coke, it makes you feel a bit sickly.
