Captain Morgan Spiced rum

Captain Morgan Spiced

Puerto Rico | Spiced

Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is made by combining yeasts, molasses, water and mash, which are then distilled in a continuous still. The rum is aged for up to 1 year followed by the addition of spices and flavors indigenous to the Caribbean Islands.

Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

Caution: only for people who don't like rum. I have never been able to enjoy a spiced rum and nothing makes me madder than to ask in a restaurant what they have in a good dark rum and the wait staff says Captain Morgan! I then have to ask them to go to the bartender and ask what they have in a non spiced dark rum. This stuff is swill. Sorry Captain Morgan, enjoy your sponsorships for Fantasy Fest, but hate your Spiced Rum.

Great way to get into rum drinking. If you can stomach this then it's worth trying better rums.

I speak with a special place affinity in my heart for the Captain.

Captain Morgan's is probably one of the most prolific spiced rums available world wide and its not too often that you meet someone who hasn't had a night on the Cap'in

As someone who likes attending electronic music festivals and "Doofs" this is the kind of rum you wanna buy when you're kinda broke and you need something reliable to accompany you at 2:00AM on the outdoor dancefloor when its cold outside. It's also the kinda rum you wanna smash with some delicious icy cold mixers in a hurricane or some other delicious dark rum cocktail or even just in a Cuba Libre under the shade with friends in the midsummers day.

There is nothing particularly special about it when compared to the premiums but its got a cult of personality following in the NZ outdoor dance scene (along with Stones spiced ginger wine which is why some mix it) and if you've really gotten your pirate on at a party and drunk it from the bottle while getting your swagger on, you'll know while just a touch rough, it gets you going, goes down reasonably well and is your loyal friend who will never fail you.

For 30-35 bucks, its pretty much what you're looking for at your local bottle-o

A compulsory buy for any new Rum drinker.

If you're looking for cheap spice kraken stags Captain Morgan down to the depths.

Very little flavor and nearly no complexity.

I would use use any of the other Morgan's rums before this one. Except for the Tattoo. That one is nasty

I know this is not even close to some of my favourite rums and It's not comparable to some high-quality rums.... but for some reason, I find it so drinkable and I just enjoy the smell and all spices combined with it sweetish side. I'm not disappointed, I would recommend it to people that don't like the taste of oak barrels that are found in many old, expensive and incredible rums ... I think some people are too harsh toward this rum but the mark just can't be that high... ;)
