Z dane trojice vzorku pro mě asi nejtypičtější rum. Opět ovocná vůně, v chuti zase ovocem s nádechem vanilka a dřeva. Příjemný hrejivy dojezd.
8 je za mě více jemná v chuti. K oběma se ale rad vrátím.

At first sip on a freshly opened bottle I wasn't impressed. But the more I sipped it and the more it breathed the more I enjoyed it. Great flavors and finish. The spices, caramel and banana blend well.

Doorly’s 12 je tradičně doprovázena papouškem na etiketě, v případě dvanáctky se jedná o Ara Škraboškového, který je ve volné přírodě vyhynulý, a výrobce nám tím může napovídat, že tento rum bude také unikátní. Jedná se o destilát z melasy, směs kolonové a kotlíkové destilace, který je stařený výhradně na Barbadosu po dobu minimálně 12 let. 90% směsi Doorly’s 12 tvoří rum, který zrál v sudech po Kentucky burbonu a zbylých 10 % po Madeira víně a jak je zvykem pro Foursquare palírnu, produkt neobsahuje žádná dochucovadla ani aromatizanty.

This rum is perfect for sipping. Warms up and leaves pleasant aftertaste. Lightly sweet, but not artificially sweetened. Oak, molases, caramel, full bodied rum. For the price it is truly great!

Typical Barbados rum, dry, smooth, minimal afterburn. In addition nice brown color. It is a must for less sweet rum lovers.

Inexpensive, great on its own or in mixed drinks, makes the perfect corn n oil. This is the one that made me love anything foursquare.
Very easy gentle rum. I drink my rum 50:50 with water and this one just slips away nicely. Quite light with a longish whisky note on the finish. Worth the £’s

Typical Foursquare rum in that it’s delicious and crisp. No additives and bold flavor at 43%.
Atypical Foursquare in that the price point belies the exceptional quality usually associated with FS rum.
A bit simple in flavor notes compared to some other offerings, but very satisfying and would be as good in a cocktail as it is as a sipper.
Caramel, brown sugar and honey notes followed by noticeable oak/wood notes and a decent burn.
A bit docile on the palate, and a slightly bitter aftertaste, but entirely drinkable!

This recently became available where I live and figured it was worth a try. Easily the best 27 dollars ever spent on a rum. notes of vanilla are present and a touch of oak. The ruby hue looks rick, but I would not say the body is overly rich. I would not necessarily put it up against esoteric cask strengh rums, or those aged in the 18+ year category, but this is a great rum for the price. Expect the price to rise as it gains a following in the USA.
