Captain Morgan Dark

This and Coruba were my intro to Caribbean rums many years ago. I remember it to be very sweet and an easy drink to mix. I have fond memories of this. Recently shared a bottle over the new years festive season and was delighted and horrified. Way too sweet for my palette now but it offered some comfort whilst reminiscing, but I can see it has a place in the pecking order of rum. I do recommend it for a cheap and easily accessible drink when quantity over quality is needed.

Ebben az ársávban szerintem ez az egyik legjobb rum. Kólával, koktélokhoz merem ajánlani, de ha el tudod fogadni, hogy a sötét színét nem a hosszú érlelési idő, hanem csak a sok karamell adja, amit rendesen ki is érezni, önmagában fogyasztva sem rossz.

This rum is one I always remember ordering by accident in a club when I wanted a spiced rum instead. It is perhaps the reason why I didn't like dark rum when I was younger. Quite average flavour profile, but okay mixed with coke, ice and lime, I guess.

Somehow this is even worse than the gold... Bottom of the bottom this. Nothing to do with actual rum.

Correct one. Good for Cuba Libre and nothing more.

You can't drink it neat. Put it into a coke and you can get drunk without spending a fortune :)

It's the default at most bars it's not bad really just nothing exciting about it and would never choose it out of choice.

Good Rum if you intend to mix it with Coke. Do not attempt to drink this neat, or on the rocks.

No! Get something else. The unrefined flavours slip into every cocktail.
And if you are thinking as a college student get the normal captain, no excuse for this one.
