Puerto Rico | Dark | 40% ABV
Captain Morgan Dark rum is a blend of five different rums from Jamaica, Guyana and Barbados. The blended rum mixture is distilled in a two part process using both pot stills and continuous stills and then aged for 2 to 7 years in charred oak barrels.
Since 2011, the Captain Morgan rum brand has used the slogan ""To life, love and loot."

Dit is zeker geen zipping rum. Ikzelf zou dit enkel gebruiken om een rum cola te maken, en daar is hij goed genoeg voor.

Not as smooth as I would have liked . Quite rough straight. Fine to mix with coke, and probably all it's good for. Ok for party nights / pub nights.

Truly bad. Harsh, unpleasant taste. A very sad reality that many start with this one in a "rum journey" which might leave bad memories reminding rum as a choice among strong. alco products.

I’ve tasted 3 types of Captain Morgan’s and this was the best .Not great but drinkable.
Good with Coca Cola, Captain Morgan Dark is a fine Navy Rum ☠️
Captain Morgan used to make the official Royal Canadian Navy Prusser Rum, 1 tot of Grog per day to each Sailor in the RCN (splice the main brace)... Sadly this practice ended in 1972...

Taste like burnt sugar. Barely drinkable. And that cheap alcohol aftertaste.

Questo rum, se possiamo così definirlo, l'ho travasato in una bellissima bottiglia di Brooklyn Gin, perché mi piace avere solo belle bottiglie, da cui prendere i miei rum.
Profumo poco presente ed indefinibile, al palato non dà alcun piacere o soddisfazione.
Sembrano gli alcoolici da pochi euro, per ubriacarsi a 20 anni.....
Invece mescolato con coca cola, per un buon coca e rum o Cuba libre, devo dire che le due bevande si sposano bene, e il cocktail risulta molto buono.

Well, maybe I'm being generous with a 4 rating. But this is the rum that got me started on rum, so I guess I have some fond memories. It was, at the time, a tasty mixer with coke. Now, it's an overly-sweet mixer to use in desperation.
