acceptable dark rum for mixing.
a bit harsh but with a nice sweetness.
interesting colour on the rocks.

My favorite rum back in the days. But how could I know better when the only rum I had tasted was some bacardi.

Naturally Rums like this have a market since there is also a market for bad wines. Luckily nobody forces me to drink this.

Overall I felt this rum was simply okay. I mixed it with cola and for me I just found it to be too "strong" or "heavy". Maybe that's the essence of a dark rum, and for those who like dark rums, perhaps they might give this particular brand a better rating. For me, it was nothing special.

You can drink it, but if you have some variants- choose another rum

Cpt Morgan's was my introduction to rum and I spent many weekends sloshing an entire bottle straight. After more consideration towards my health, I found that its decent mixed, but can't escape that slight 'harsh alcohol' flavour. There is a nice dash of treacle and almost liquorice/ anise, but tends to be a little too much. Not bad if there is not alternative, but in this price range id rather choose lambs or OVD.
