A nice semi sweet, slightly dry and woody rum. Somewhat earthy notes of caramel, vanilla and hazel nuts. Nice sipper
My favorite rum style is aged Spanish rums, so it shouldn't surprise me that Spain produces great Spanish rums!
Many thanks to Joola69 for bringing me a bottle from Mexico!
This has a wonderful sweet nose, which smells and tastes of vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, hazel nuts, chocolate, and sherry. A REALLY nice rum!
This rum is overall gentle and round, with nose of chocolate and spices, on the palate there is again chocolate mixed with fruits, nuts and subtle oak notes, nuts and oak tones are present also in the aftertaste. The sweetness level is a bit lower than Dos Maderas 5+5, which is also partially aged in sherry casks, the Manacas taste profile is not as elaborated as Dos Maderas. Manacas is not too bad, but the rum body itself is rather flat and a bit boring for me. If you like sweet rums, you may give it a try. Score is 6+.
An interesting rum, a lot of vannila and wine flavour. Not bad but is not my style.
Nice one.. Will probably stay in my cabinet. A bit thin in the taste.. But the cherries note will make it fun to have and something to long for.
this one really has an strange taste,i did not like it at all, even in a mix you have a strange taste
Аромат спирты, бочка и тростник.
Вкус достаточно резкий, спиртуозный. Яркая дубовая бочка.
It is enjoyable taste, but it's a bit too light.
Still, good for reasonable price.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

An appropriately sweet taste, really not too much. The history of this rum supposedly dates back to days of Cuban Revolution when a few rum-filled casks were recovered and transported back to Jerez in the southern Spain. Nowadays, the initial 5-years of the maturation process happens in the Caribbean (in Panama, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic ageing in casks that previously contained Cuban rum), while the 3-years finish is completed in used local Jerezian sherry-wine barrels. Sounds very complex and the taste is such indeed.
