Plantation Original Dark Trinidad

One to enjoy. not quite to the standard of some of the better proof rums but good value none the less.

When its cheap (~15€) its good rum for value, but at the regular (~25€) price there are better rums.

You can feel the Plantation koncept but keep in mind there are a lot of better variants i.e. Plantation Barbados XO but also to dubbel the price.

I think I am talking about the same rum. I went to my local store and this one was new. I was totally drawn in by the busy bottle design with a nice curves in the neck and a stamp molded into the glass. You could sit for hours just reading the story on the label. Anyway the rum is strong and dark, a bit harsh as others have stated. Very much like pussers British Navy for my palette.

La plupart du temps avec plantation, on retrouve une certaine complexité et ici c'est ce qu on remarque. On est rarement déçu. Il goute la vanille le bourbon et le caramel. Ce n est pas le meilleur plantation, mais pour le prix c est correct.

It is quite smooth and sweetie. You will recognize Jamaica from the first sip. But it is really good for just drinking in company or mix. Slightly fruity afterburn..

With a mild but rich flavor, albeit a little harsh, it's not a sipper but it works well in a variety of drinks. It's good on the rocks with water, too. I don't have a single favorite rum but if I were forced to choose only one rum to drink for the rest of my life with a limited budget, this would be among the finalists. My ratings don't factor in the price but if they did, this would be an 8 or a 9.

I liked it a lot. A little bit of alcohol taste, but only little. With that cost rate it is a awesome choice.

Te taste is quite smooth with out any strong aromat, strong flavour of alcohol
