Having used the Captain's Spiced Gold for a while, my wife bought me this for our holiday.
I found it a little harsh on it's own to start with but my palette soon became used to the extra bite form the CM Spiced.
Nice mixed with lime and cola though

A killer rum with lots of cherry notes, vanilla notes, clove notes and mixes well with Coke Zero!! Impact? one heck of a punch!! This is so far superior to the regular Captain Morgan!! Good job Captain Morgan!! You have a real tum fan now!! π

I like this rum for Cuba Libras. Very smooth and balanced with nice vanilla and spice notes with just a little extra kick for those Friday evening cocktails. Not sophisticated but very mixable.

Definitely Captain's answer to Kraken... But the cork caught my eye. They say you can't mess up a corked rum. This is highly superior to Kraken and is incredibly smooth for a black spiced rum. Highly recommend mixing with Cherry Dr. Pepper.
I tried this rum, and I have to say it was the best Captian morgan what I drank. This rum flavor is very sweet like dark frutis.

Black spice is my second favorite rum it's great in every thing. Goes down dangerously smooth. This is the captain that makes me love captain.
This was the first black rum I had and I thought it was pretty good. I just sipped on it on the rocks.

There is a little hint of clove and nutmeg present on the nose as well but predominantly it is sweet vanilla. .
"This is a very sweet drink. The rum burns a little on exit but after a few sips the burn subsides. There is a little hint of oaked ageing in the aftertaste."

Good dark rum. More of a burn at the end than I expected, being oak barrel aged. Alot of oak notes and clove.
