Gorgeous on the palate, delicious marzipan, dry fruit, caramel
Wonderful in the finish, very long!
It's a plantation

The Plantation Barbados is very smooth and sweet with a nice rum aroma, maybe a little bit of cinnamon taste. It's great to enjoy purely and one of the best values you get for the money. If I had to choose a rum for a beginner, I would choose this one. Mine came in a different bottle, see the image.

A good sipper, but very sweet. Not sure this will be a go-to rum for me, but I'll dutifully finish off the bottle and keep searching for something that comes close to Pampero.

Was excited to open this little number. Good yes but not great. As a Barbados XO I was expecting greater complexity.

Tweede rum van de avond, 3e spelletje inmiddels. Lekker drankje, na Loft House een wat sterkere smaak. Zelfde cijfer als Loft House, maar vond die stiekem wat lekkerder.

I really wanted to love this rum, I really, really did! I've been eyeing the Plantation 20 since I first became a rum drinker a few years ago. Plantation was actually what got me on rum in the first place. Full disclosure: I am biased.
N - Just lovely! You've got that wonderful coconut, a little pineapple and cream underneath, and a pleasant vanilla to round it all out.
P - Sweet tropical fruit, all day. So, so nice, pleasant, other word for nice.
F - ...and there's the baking spice! What more could I ask for?
Honesty with myself. The baking spice comes in on the finish, but it keeps coming. It grows beyond it's bounds, and starts to overwhelm, and what started off a pleasant addition starts to become outright unpleasant. It ends up hurting you, but everything else about it great enough that you keep looking past that and come back to it. That's probably a little more insight into my personal life... I mean rum... than you wanted. But there it is.

Smooth and nice taste (sugar) and slight fire after taste

A nice sipping rum with a pretty distinctive smell when comparing it to other rums. It must be the chocolate hints that makes the smell a bit weird (in my opinion). The after taste however, is great!

This is just lacking a complexity that I was looking for still a great rum
