Gold of Mauritius Dark

A strong fruity smell, vanilla, pudding. A quite sweet taste, chocolate, some wine, also fruity. The finish is medium long and light alcoholic.

Vkusná designová fľaša, niektoré drahšie rumy (napr. od Oliver&Oliver) nemajú takú peknú masívnu fľašu. Rum je tmavozlatý, po chvíli v pohári sa rozvinú viaceré vône. Prevažuje ťažšia zemitá aróma, koža, dym, korenie. Po takýchto vnemoch by som skôr čakal ťažší rum, niečo suchšie, opak je ale pravdou. Po prvom ochutnaní cítiť hrozienka, možno vanilku, chuť potom postupne prechádza do ťažšej - dym, koža, dubový sud. Podľa mňa priemerný rum vyššej strednej triedy. Ale určite nie zlý.

Au début, le nez me plaisait, très doux, avec des arômes de cacahuètes (?). Mais après l'avoir vraiment goûté, je pense qu'il est un peu artificiel, et sans doute trop sucré. Cela lui donne une certaine "lourdeur". Peut-être devrais-je l'utiliser plus dans des cocktails, que le boire seul.

Actually, this stuff is suprisingly drinkable, it has a bit of pungent smell, but nowhere near the Dzama, a bit of sedimentation too, otherwise I tasted "chocolate" which is my thing.

Zaujme krásná bytelná lahev. Tak nějak průměrný tmavý rum, který si dle mého názoru zcela neobhájí svou cenu. Voní, chutná opravdu tak nějak průměrně ve všech směrech. Rozhodně se nejedná o propadák a svou sladší chutí spoustu zákazníku jistě zaujme.

Quite good straightforward sweet rum. Not bad but still I would say It is a average tasting rum..

A force de vouloir s'adapter au marché, on fini par vendre son âme...beaucoup de sucrosite, des arômes de caramel, banane trop mûre...forcément plaisant pour le plus grand nombre, mais d'autre produit dans cette gamme offre une autre palette aromatique plus agréable...

Maybe nothing fancy, but a pleasant sipper. Lots of sweets, milk chocolate.

Nose is little sweet, no specific flavour. Little bit dull and weak. Taste is sweet. Sugar, spices and strong smokey end and finish. Overall composition does not suit me.
