In der Nase Toffee, Karamell, Holz und Früchte.
Im Gaumen nicht so Süss wie andere Zacapas, schön mundfüllend, kandierte Früchte, Sahne -Karamell Bonbons mit etwas Holz.
Im Abgang nicht so lang wie erhofft, Karamell, Holz und etwas Rauch.
Ein gutgemachter Solera, so sollte der "normale" Zacapa sein, geschmeidig und nicht so süss.
Ein Rum für gutbetuchte Einsteiger. -8
Rich amber in a glass.
In the nose toffee, caramel, wood and fruit.
In the palate not as sweet as other Zacapas, nice mouth filling, candied fruits, cream - caramel sweets with some wood.
In the finish not as long as hoped, caramel, wood and some smoke.
A well made Solera, so should be the "normal" Zacapa, smooth and not so sweet.
A rum for well-heeled beginners. -8
This zacapa is very good, abit stronger then the normal version.
Another great Zacapa-experience, with ripe fruit, molasses and warmth
I'm a big fan of the 23 and the xo but this has a huge bite at the end and it is not as complex or sweet as what you expect form the Zacapa brand. Even with ice its not.perfect. At this price get the El Dorado 21 or stay with the 23.
Great shame as you expect alot from this at this retail price.

On a personal level, I find rhums have three stages when I drink them.First is the flavour when you initially sip it, then the burn follows for 30 seconds or so then the lasting aftertaste. For me, this rhum get it right 2 out of 3. Initial flavour great, aftertaste great but the burn just lasts far too long to the point where it is an endurance rather than a pleasure. I'd say its not for me but will probably suit others.
