Rhum JM Cuvee 1845

Zuerst ein wenig Atmen lassen 10 - 20 Minuten schadet nicht, erst danach entfaltet er seinen Geruch so richtig.
Im Geruch erdig, Gras, ein wenig Vanille, Holz, sehr interessant und gut.
Farbe schönes Bernstein.
Im Geschmack findet man die Geruchsnoten wieder und im Abgang noch am Ende ein wenig Alkohol und Kirschnote.

Fazit: ein sehr guter Rum mit einem speziellen Geschmacks- und Geruchserlebnis das ich so bis jetzt nicht gekannt habe.
Gefällt mir gut.

Visited the Rhum JM Distillery while vacationing at Martinique. Comprehensive distillery tour followed by an open tasting bar. Rhum JM Cuvee 1845 was priced at EUR 85 at the distillery. High end old school bottle and label design. Traditional very dry Rhum Agricole notes followed by grass, strong oak, cognac like flavor profile being so dry and floral bouquet to your nose and palate. Strong burn at the end. Rhum Agricole lovers can easily add 2 points to my score.

This rhum plays in the same division as Clement XO and Depaz Grande Reserve XO. I tasted it onboard the Birka Cruises in the Baltic Sea. They have a great rumbar, a good assortment of rum for tax free sale and also arrange special rum cruises once a year. Back to the JM 1845, it doesn’t reach the Clement but are the same type of Agricole as the Clement and the Depaz so I will place it on the same level as the Depaz.

Very full bodied rhum, worth the money excellent nose, mouth, swallow and finish. Great stuff with excellent balance..

42% ABV. Big, clean, oaky nose. Hint of cherry. Clean taste. Medium finish. 9-, 8+

Un très beau rhum brun issu d'une cuvée spéciale. Un vrai nectar au moment de l'achat. 3 ans plus tard, conservé dans une cave un peu humide, il est devenu plus fort. Dommage car il frisait la perfection par ses arômes subtils.

Neus: kruidig, grassig, peper en mint

Smaak: hout, zoethout en vanille met gember.

Afdronk: middellang en kruidig

To be enjoyed clean. Allow to breathe for a moment. The pour is a lush golden amber that doesn't cling to the glass. On the nose is vanilla and rich oak, maybe a hint of almond? A smooth, decadent finish that lingers. The sexy bottle is a fine addition to any collection.

Assemblage de rhums de 10 ans et plus. Très belle bouteille, le rhum a une couleur dorée.
Nez : une fois les éthers évaporés, le nez est très engageant, avec des notes de fruits confits et d'épices.
Dégustation : l'attaque est plutôt douce, sucrée. Ce rhum a une belle palette d'arômes : épices (bois bandé, coriandre, poivre), fruits secs, tabac, avec un boisé bien équilibré.
Des goûts subtils se révèlent, fruits confits, canne.
Finale : très longue, canne et épices.
Un grand rhum de Martinique

Superbe rhum agricole d un assemblage de 10 ans minimum ce rhum a beaucoup de gout de sucrositè.un rhum sur la vanille un boise tres leger.gourmand ce rhum est facile d accés.c est mon prefere chez jm.goute et acheté sur place a 65e c est un rhum magnifique.
Pour tout amateur c est un rhum a avoir.moins puissant que le 2000 ce rhum gourmand ravira un grand nombre.belle bouteille.du jm quoi.....
