Nothing special happened today. To make my monday special I decided to open this rum. Long story short: it worked! Another great Spanish style quality rum from Oliver y Oliver. Zero regrets. Although I don't have anything negative to state about this rum I'll rate it a 9. I'm kind of optimistic to experience even better rums in the future.

The rum has a very sweet smell, initial spicy bite that quickly goes into a mellow aftertaste with only a hint of sweetness.

This rum taste great, no doubt about it .A wonderful nose, Sweet and spicy, yet complex taste. A very long and wonderful aftertaste. It is indeed a luxury rum.
The thing is though, you can find rum that are as good as this, but considerably cheaper. And thats why this rum doesn't get a 10 from me.

Ive tried this one just after getting a bottle of Millonario XO and I must admit this one is slightly better. It has not so strong nose (Millonario XO is maybe just too much on nose), but the taste.....that is really it!
There is not alcohol body, only tones of vanilla, oak,caramel....yummy!
It has one of the best tails: long, complex and slowly releasing.

Bottle is a copy of Millonario XO (or vice versa), anyway a masterpiece.

Only bad thing about this Rum is the price tag....

In this RUM you can find almost everything. Not too much sweet, but you can identify the sweet tones. Not dry, but you feel the wood, tabaco and full body. Strong but not burning (after 10min in glass) Mild and long aftertaste ending with ground tones.

Dark rum, toffee and slightly burn with a lot of character! This is a deep and well combined rum with a very long aftertaste!
YUM! Will write a more detailed review next time.

Klart en rom der bliver bedre for hver gang man nyder den, som nybegynder synes jeg ikke den var pengene værd, men har ændret mening sidenhen..

Celebrated yesterday by opening this bottle which I heard would be the best from Oliver & Oliver.
I’ve read that it would be powerful, but I don’t think so at all, instead I think it’s the softest and smoothest rum I’ve ever tasted.
Because of that, I find it difficult to discern all the aromas and flavors. I think the predominant ones are vanilla and cream caramel, but it’s also possible to distinguish sweet tobacco, spices and hazelnuts.
These aromas and flavors are there from the start and linger until the rather long end.
It’s of course relatively sweet, it’s an Oliver & Oliver, but not too sweet.
