Presidente 19-Year

My first experience with the Presidente range and a very, very nice surprise.
The bottle design does not really look too promising and the label and stickers on it look even cheap I would say but do not get fooled by the packaging as it hides some really nice rum.
Smells great and the flavour reveals hints of cherries and chocolate. A bit sweeter than expected.
Somewhat similar to Diplomatico RE in a way but more complex and interesting experience at almost the same price. So far one of the best rums I tried hence 9.

As a bit of a sucker for sweet rums, this rum is very up my street.
Its a very smooth sipper, the first initially swig had quite a strong alcohol taste, but this quickly mellows.
No harshness and a great taste, caramel, spices & a tiny bit of oak.
A nice dark brown colour, no messing.
You feel like you're glowing afterwards.

Not a bad bottle design, its little more understated than some of the "Bling" bottles you get these days.
Tastewise is similar to Millonario 15 or Centenario 20, which is what I was hoping for.

Right enough of that, back to drinking my new Presidente rum...

This Rum is really smooth, it has a rich and deep flavor without being to intense on the rum taste.

i started with the 15y presidente and loved it .. sweet chocolate taste ... but the 19y is even smoother ... cant wait to try the 23y

This rhum has a scent of fresh hazelnut and a dry entrance followed by a sweetness. All the way a smooth experience.

fantastic rum, more complex and balanced compared to 15YO version, nice sweet vanilla on the nose, tones of dark chocolate and coffee comes after you sip it, great choice anytime, and your friends will love it when you give them a glass to try... update - still one of the best rums I ever tasted, but for me 23yo is even better, price difference is small... but i dont mind drinking any of these anytime :)

Amber color. Nose of caramel, vanilla and spices. First taste is sweet, then is gets drier and spicier. Complex and exotic, with a pleasant butterscotch undertone. This one is a keeper!

As we know Oliver & Oliver has never disappointed us, and this time they shows us a very well made rum, it is a soft rum, mahogany in color, it has sweet caramel and honey aromas, fruits and spices. Taste sweet but not too much, and also some spices. It's a super recommended rum, and the price is not high.

Como sabemos Oliver & Oliver jamás nos ha defraudado, y en esta ocasión nos muestra un ron muy bien realizado, es un ron sueve, de color caoba, tiene aromas dulces de caramelo y miel, frutas y especias. De sabor dulce pero no demasiado, y también de algunas especias. Es un ron super recomendable, y el precio no es elevado.

A bit less matured/complex and bit more sweet than 23y. But these small difgerences are distinguishable only in direct comparison. Best price/value ratio from Presidente line and one of my favorite choices.

As of this review, this rum has a score of 8.3, while the Presidente 23 has a score of 8.0. I think this one is a little better, as the 23 year has a bit more oak finish to it and a little less sweetness.

Smells and tastes of molasses, caramel, marzipan, and honey. Doesn't have the oaky finish of the 23, which I like. A very good rum, especially at the price!
