Niezły rum, ciemny, dość wytrawny, aromaty suszonych owoców, śliwki, może winogron/ rodzynek, nuty drewniane w smaku. Zapach słodszy niż smak. Znośny do picia solo, zostawia winny posmak na języku (widać wpływ beczki). Przez swoje nuty ciekawy do wykorzystania w koktajlach. Na pewno rzecz warta spróbowania w poszukiwaniu swojego ulubionego rumu ;) ciekawa historia i butelka.
Picked this up at a discount, but it's probably just around the regular price (~20€). For the price it's okay, first reaction was "interesting".
I'm not sure if I would buy again, got it with a glass which is pure ****.
Aquest rom el va prohibir el rei, com sempre, prohibint el q no es seu
I had read some reviews online, suggesting that this was a great rum. However, it was a complete disappointment. This rum lacks aroma intensity. It has a faint note of oloroso sherry, and that's about it.
'...I was surprised by the thick mouth feel of Ron Prohibido.'
"El Ron Prohibido 12-Year rum review by The Floating Rum Shack"
It has a very strong raisin and sultana kind of dry fruit richness.
"The rum is initially very sweet but the finish is slightly tart leaving an almost bitter lack feeling in the mouth."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Typical spanish style rum. Not a ordinary rum. You can find common flavors of burned sugar and some fruits. Quite a dark taste.
The nose is not bad, quite complex with some more flavors.
The initial and middle taste are the same and too simple for me, there is almost no change. It was a little bit boring. The finish starts with some spice and bitternotes.
It reminds me a little bit of Remidy spiced rum, it's like a natural version of but with another finish.
Smell: caramell, burned sugar, dry fruits, apricot, some nuts (hazelnut), oak, spices (cloves), earth
