Denne bliver en flaske som kommer til at holde længe i mit skab. Simpelthen fordi den ikke vil blive serveret som andet end eksempel på hvordan en mørk Rom kan ødelægges.
...I was basically "forced" to try it with my colleagues at work...
Did not enjoy it, neither my colleagues.
I gave it a 2 for the bottle design and the mexican heritage.
What a surprise ... And a bad one
This is how you see Marketing can be efficient. Bought this one because of its intriguing label.
Powerful fruity and spicy nose. Dominated by fruit cake, candied and dried fruits (orange. Lemon) and walnut. Reminds me of a badly made port wine or Vin de Noix (red wine + walnut + sugar).
Sweet round attack with orange and walnut flavors. Medium high sweetness. Not balanced at all with strong warm alcohol mouth. Very sweet. Not worth it (30 usd)
Fruity first nose which turn into a walnut smell after 10min. Warm in mouth, nice on the tip of the tongue. Bend towards a sweet port wine, not a very good one. Short tail, candied fruits. Nuts again. Not really good.
When I get a new Rum , I get my rum drinking buddy's together and we set down with the new rum and a standard to judge from. This rum has a bite and is bitter. It has overtones of eather and tast like some bad moonshine I have tasted. Everyone in the group dumped it out. Don't waste your money on this one.
"El Ron Prohibido 12-Year rum review by The Floating Rum Shack"
"The rum is initially very sweet but the finish is slightly tart leaving an almost bitter lack feeling in the mouth."
