This is a sipper. No sugar added
This is a very pleasant surprise for the price
yes, it s another fruity Bajan, ABV 46% is perfect(i read 40% here on the site but my bottle have 46% and no, i don t see it s a special edition), tropical fruits on the nose and in mouth too plus vanilla, caramel, some oak, good dose of natural sweetness (barbados make only no additives rum except for plantation brand) i really love Bajan rums for this very fruity profile, i paid it just 5 euro less than doorly s 14 so it s not cheap in my country but i m ok if ABV and taste are ok ! if you search fruitiness in a rum, this is a right one ! i see many saying is like bourbon or whiskey, i have to say it s not, find me a whisky or bourbon with so much tropical fruits flavor and i ll switch on it immediately, maybe people are too much addicted on sugar added rums with just 40% ABV so they say so ... don t understand them really ! this is a genuine product with no additives and not too watered, im displeased they underestimate real quality in a rum !
Exceptionally good. Wasn't expecting such flavor. Nice aftertaste.
Smooth and good flavor for a sub $40 rum. Aftertaste has slight burn but nothing unpleasant. May prefer Doorly’s 12 though.
This rum is a learned taste. It is very good if you like whiksey, however I think it lacks a bit of sugar, as my prefered taste is a bit more to the sweet side. Would definately recommend
This is a great rum right from Barabados. Most of my Rums I enjoy neat. This is no exception, very nice molasses and vanilla on the nose and similar on the tongue. I look forward to trying the 14 year if I can ever find it.
This bottle is probably one of the best bottles that's probably readily available. A complex bottle with nice woody and spice notes that just changes in your mouth. Great rum to sip on make into simple cocktails, like a rum old fashioned that plays well with the rum.
This is much better than their 5 year. It's a slightly darker amber color. Good notes of vanilla, and oak. It was best neat and cut with a little water.
Well balanced rum to sip or to make really delicious cocktails! Not to much sweetness and a bit harsh finish.
Mature tropical fruits, demerara sugar, oak and baking spices
"The Real McCoy 12-Year rum review by a Mountain of Crushed Ice"
Has some very Bourbon like sweet/sour like notes.
"It is rich, intense and quite spicy. Very oaky yet not overly dry."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

There is very little burn in sipping this and it has a toasted oaky vanilla flavor that comes through. It's not as bold as Doorly's 12 year which has a more dominant copper and aged fruit like flavor. IMO it doesn't have that coppery like flavor of rl seales 10 yr or Doorly's of any kind. It's smooth on the throat for sure and definitely woody w some brown sugar. It's like an unsugared and smoother Pampero Aniversario RE. This has sweet wet oak flavor and pretty sharp tannins that are different from other foursquare offerings, I love it. Update: just tasted this after tasting Don Q Anejo and the toasted cocunut flavor of this rum becomes highly noticeable, smooth and delicious, gotta drink it straight!
