Lækker rom. Godt med bundtræk.
Rom fra Caribien er min boldgade
Great for the price just wish it had a higher proof. Is a good overall rum to enjoy though!
Very light nose, almost difficult to catch some aromas. Seems to be a young or a light rum.
The initial taste is watery and there are almost no aromas until the end of the middle taste.
I think this rum was diluted too much.
The aromas are very common, even without dilution it would be some kind of boring.
Smell: cocoa, burned sugar, wood, dry fruits, some earth
Taste: watery mouthfeel, some paper, vanilla
Middle: orange and wood
Finish: spice, some bitterness, young wood, cocoa
Sweetness: 1/5
Mildness: 3.5/5
Spice: 2/5
Fruit: 2/5
Complexity: 1.5/5
As with all Foursquare rums, this is another very smooth addition. It is nothing spectacular in the taste i found but it goes down really well.
I though, that I know enough about R. L. Seale rums. But this one surprised me. Its more pleasant and drinkable than Doorlys 12 or another one from Barbados MGXO. Though on the other hand its not that distinctive. I would recommend McCoy if you can find a bottle for a good price. One of the more pleasant non-sugared rums.
Nice colour of Ron. End taste is bit sharper, like cinnamon could be felt. There is also a vanilla flavour but Ron is not so sweet. So the guys better drink it. It has full body. I like it. Empty glass after Ron is nice to smell like dried plums I feel. :-)
Had this on ice. Great sweet taste, this is a good one for the home.
The taste was a little too whiskey-like for me. Since I don't drink whiskey this wasn't the right rum for me at the moment.
Mature tropical fruits, demerara sugar, oak and baking spices
"The Real McCoy 12-Year rum review by a Mountain of Crushed Ice"
Has some very Bourbon like sweet/sour like notes.
"It is rich, intense and quite spicy. Very oaky yet not overly dry."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
