Santos Dumont XO

It's strong, smooth, and sweet with a buttery feel in your mouth. I couldn't pick up any specific flavors beyond it tasting like rum.

It's pretty good in coke but not not distinctive in any way. I think it might be a better sipper over ice.

There are 3 typical styles to distinguish rum: French, English and Spanish. This rum from Brazil matches to none of them, because they use both sugar cane juice and molasses at the same time. Very interesting.
Nose: fruity, some hints of orange maybe
Palate: also pretty fruity and sweet. Warm and long lasting with a nice twist of something sharp, like a hint of chili maybe.

Would like to try some more sips of this one, but it was only a sample 😕 : Cal 2019, day 5.

Santos Dumont XO ma veľmi príjemne prekvapil. Veľmi hladký,až zamatovy. Cítil som sladkosť sliviek, višní,krásne oblu vyváženú chuť. Dlhší záver umocnený až medovym charakterom. Výborná voľba pre milovníkov sladšich rumov

Sötaste någonsin. Helt OK men ändå extremt söt. Hyfsad eftersmak.

This rum was one of the first things I tried and fell in love with. I considered him king before I got tired of his offshoots, Palmira, Tramin and Elixir. In all of them, I feel the overshoot of A.H.Risis, and after a few months, it starts to bother me. He is a king, but for starting and that was enough :-)

Tento rum byl jeden z prvním, které jsem zkusil a zamiloval si. Považoval jsem jej za krále, než jsem se nabažil jeho odnoží, Palmíry, Tramínu a Elixíru. Ve všech cítím přeslazenost A.H.Riise a po pár měsících se mi to začíná protivit. Je to král, ale pro rozjezd a stačilo :-)

Příjemný rum, jemnější a s ovocným tónem. Příjemný bonus je krásná láhev.
