La Hechicera Extra Anejo rum Is distilled using the solera method and aged between 12 and 21 years in American white oak casks.
La Hechicera rum has been produced by the The Riasco family for the past two decades. They're the only family-run Rum distillery in Colombia. The rum derives its name from the Spanish word “Hechicera” which translates to “enchantress”.

I know the place to buy Hechicera at El Dorado Airport in Bogota. I can resist to go there whenever I go to Bogota. Excellent rum, beautiful bottle. On my list of my ten favorite. After trying so many rums, this is one to be part of my "active" collection.

Beautifully balanced. A fantastic rum
Sedím v restauraci a koukám, že v rumovém lístku je přírůstek, tak ochutnám. Hechcera mi přijde jako rum z řady Centenario 12y, Botran Solera 18y, Ophyum 12y. Uleželý, kultivovaný, nepřeslazený, jemný. Trošku chybí plnost na kterou jsem zvyklý u Oliver & Oliver, ale je hned o fous za nimi.
I prefer unsweetened and with no added flavor rums, La Hechicera hits all the starts, it is a dry rum, with coffee, orange and oaky notes that is easy to drink. I prefer it on the rocks, so smooth that I have never had just one.
A truly great rum, starts with sweet aromas but a spicy aftertaste.
Nice rich smell of caramel and toffee with orange fruity notes.
"It is zesty and spicy with more pronounced orange flavour. There is also a red grape flavour which is very pleasant."

I find this rum to be the perfect balance between oaky and dry, as traditional rum should be. Very appealing to any purist rum (or even whisky) lover!
