La Hechicera Extra Anejo

The first time I sipped it after opening the bottle, I was disappointed. The aftertaste seemed to be weak and a little off-tasting. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I was not impressed--especially considering the price. However, the second time I tried it, it was fine. More than fine, actually. I guess this one needs a bit of oxygen to round it out. Now I think it could easily be one of my regulars, provided it's in stock.

It's not too sweet, yet it's smooth and tasty. I wouldn't call it fruity. The aftertaste is a bit short, relatively speaking, but not as empty as Brugal 1888. And, it apparently has no sugar or other flavor additives, which is a bonus for me. An excellent sipper that doesn't get much discussion.

And, I know this has no bearing on the taste, but that is a very sexy-looking bottle!

La Hechicera is een mooie rum. Vol en krachtig van smaak met een mooie zoete smaak maar wel met een scherp randje.

Notes of fruits, coffee, chocolate and spices. Good average rum

Meget kraftig duft af bananer, appelsin, farin og vanille. En yderst positiv og velafbalanceret smagsoplevelse.

Mild aroma, woody and a little spice. A little bitter after taste.

A well balanced rum, an excellent one. Eye Catching bottle and a very affordable price.

Obvykle dávám přednost nasládlým rumům, ale tento, ač je téměř opak, si mě po čase získal.
Suchý rum, ale bez ostrosti, kterou často mají. Naopak docela jemný. Pravda je, že ničím vlastně moc nevyniká, chuť je relativně jednochuchá - ovšem v jednochosti je někdy síla. Pokud chcete změnu po sladčích kouscích, určitě lze doporučit. Jen budete možná potřebovat víc času si na něj zvyknout a najít jeho slunce.

Duft: appelsin, karamel, tobak
Smag: smager som den dufter. Slår over i chokolade og træ i eftersmagen.

ale chute pro me nezajimavy rum. Ale pri degustaci mel uspech, me nejak minul :-(
