To start with a nice dark rich color, first smell from the bottle chocolate, sweet caramel and sugarcane aromas hit your nose, from the Bottle nearly no alcohol smell and Into the glass the alcohol is more noticeable but pleasant to the nose.
In my experience a cube of ice a little swirl of the glass and a 5 minute wait makes this a Excellent Rum.

The scent is oddly sweet for a rum with no added sugar but the taste reveals that he is one of this kind. The taste is rather light and unobtrusive. A great and honest light sipping rum with a spicy.

I had only one glass, not the whole bottle. However, the rum smellt nice, the after taste was a little bitter.

First smell, it is a bit weird. Very closed. But let it open for some minutes and it will give you amazing aromas, almost without alcohol.
The taste is fantastic. So balanced and so nice.

Velice chutny a prijemny rum. Chut je sladsi, medova, krasne jemna a hladka, kulata, bez vyrazne spicky. Ocas nenì zadny, spise jemny. Lahev je velice pekne zpracovana, s krasnou modrou peceti. Pokud se vam podari sehnat i s krabici, bajecny darek.

The first time I sipped it after opening the bottle, I was disappointed. The aftertaste seemed to be weak and a little off-tasting. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I was not impressed--especially considering the price. However, the second time I tried it, it was fine. More than fine, actually. I guess this one needs a bit of oxygen to round it out. Now I think it could easily be one of my regulars, provided it's in stock.

It's not too sweet, yet it's smooth and tasty. I wouldn't call it fruity. The aftertaste is a bit short, relatively speaking, but not as empty as Brugal 1888. And, it apparently has no sugar or other flavor additives, which is a bonus for me. An excellent sipper that doesn't get much discussion.

And, I know this has no bearing on the taste, but that is a very sexy-looking bottle!

A rum enchanted!
In the nose nice aromas of caramel, toffee, tropical fruits.
In the palate a certain sharpness, dark chocolate is added.
Finish pleasantly supple.
A really well done Ron!

Meget kraftig duft af bananer, appelsin, farin og vanille. En yderst positiv og velafbalanceret smagsoplevelse.

Mild aroma, woody and a little spice. A little bitter after taste.

A well balanced rum, an excellent one. Eye Catching bottle and a very affordable price.

Duft: appelsin, karamel, tobak
Smag: smager som den dufter. Slår over i chokolade og træ i eftersmagen.

Velmi dobrý rum hlavně pro ty, kteří mají rádi chuť tabáku a pražené kávy. Pro mě osobně trochu ostřejší.

Suchý rum, který ocení zkušenější pijaci rumu ;) Krásná láhev a krásný obsah :)

Its very specific in nose as well as in mouth. People who enjoy aromatic rums will love its smoothness and fruity taste. People who look for something more mature and distinguished should look somewhere else.

a mild rum a bit flat unfortunately but still good to drink.

A very fairly priced solera rum, supposedly additive free. The nose is nice with wooden notes, orangepeel and a bit of toffee. In the mouth the rum behaves smoothly like a solera should, but it's not destractingly sweet like so many other solera. I pick up medium bodied and unmasked notes of wood, sweet tobacco and roasted coffee. It's not very complex and the slightly spicy finish fades fairly quick, but the composition works very well. A fine rum that doesn't demand to much attention, but works perfectly neat alongside a game of cards. It definitely shares some similarities with dictador, another colombian rum, but at this pricerange i prefer la hechicera. Thumbs up.
